Europe-Travelers.eu is an Open Travel Guide dedicated to european destinations. It is published under Creative Commons License and produced by Mediatrotters. Its objective is to explore new ways of sharing content and services in between travelers and professionals.

Europe Travelers regularly experiments the implementation of latest Web technologies applied to fields of Tourism and e-Tourism. Its objective is to share acquired knowledge and competences with practitioners.

Unlike the Open Access movement in Science and Education or major portals such as Wikipedia, Europe Travelers is an Open Access Web site. Except where otherwise noted, all content on this Web site is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution share-alike license.

Since October 2006 Europe Travelers has experienced the implementation of innovative Web services such as RSS feeds, Social networking and collaborative (user-generated content) features, Google Maps, affiliation programmes, Open Access licensing, and multilingual issues. Our pilot project aims at experiencing latest Web technologies for the great benefit of e-tourism and tourism professionals.

We do experience the publication of a wide range of Travel and Tourism RSS feeds, a Google Map of Travel videos and pictures, a multilingual publication of this Open Travel Guide including a French section, and popular sections such as the Tourism in Europe Press Review, Tourism in Europe Professionals Directory, Tourism Trends in Europe and more.

Europe Travelers experience shows it is possible for small and medium e-tourism initiatives to gain a place at the heart of the huge market of e-tourism in Europe. A result that makes the pilote project being already a success.

Our Web site, based on latest WEB 2.0 technologies is first of all a tool to serve practitioners and visitors with a strong collaborative approach. Its relevance therefore depends on community members contributions. Also the editorial policy is driven by Web content profesionnals with a strong Travel interest.
